Meredith begins Year 2 of her NIFA-AFRI Fellowship

Centinari Lab member Meredith Persico was awarded a USDA NIFA-AFRI Fellowship (2021-2024) to investigate the effect of late-summer and fall heatwaves on grapevine dormancy induction and cold tolerance. In Year 1, Meredith investigated the effects of heatwave time on V. vinifera cv. Cabernet Franc, and in Year 2, she will compare the effect of heatwaves on two grapevine species, V. vinifera and V. riparia.
